The AtlasIED SD72WV 8" Ceiling Speaker with Volume Control is the newest member of Atlas's powerful cone loudspeakers. It is extremely comparable to the preceding C-Series speakers. The similarity in sonic qualities lets it slide right in to applications with other Atlas products. Contractors and designers know just how to use the SD72WV. This 8" ceiling speaker is a 25 watt 8" (205mm) loudspeaker with a 10oz. (260g) ceramic magnet. The Atlas SD72WV 8" Ceiling Speaker with Volume Control comes with a curvelinear, treated paper cone for lower harmonic distortion. The loudspeaker was also specifically designed with a full 1" diameter copper voice coil and black anodized aluminum former for better power dissipation. The AtlasIED SD72WV 8" Ceiling Speaker With Volume Control operates within a frequency response range of 45Hz-19kHz (nominal) with a sensitivity of 97dB and a dispersion angle of 105°. It's packaging includes factory installed 25/70.7V line matching transformer with tap selections ranging from .25 to 5 watts. The SD72WV comes with a factory installed CRS baffle with concealed loudspeaker mounting studs and includes screw mount hardware. The SD72WV baffle features standard mounting holes that fit the majority of Atlas 8" tile bridges, mounting rings and enclosures. When specifying mounting hardware please make a note that the dimensions of the SD72WV baffle match the Atlas Model 62-8. The baffle finiSHis white powder coat epoxy. The baffle mounted volume control has a 5 watt audio rating and is factory wired to the voice coil. These units are shipped assembled, ready for installation.
